St Basil’s Cathedral, Moscow

You know, as spectacular as this picture makes the iconic St. Basil’s Cathedral look… it wasn’t. Up close it looks colourful and a real treat for the eyes, but it really wasn’t all that! Maybe it’s because I hated Moscow – vehemently. And maybe I didn’t give the city the chance that it deserved, but everywhere I looked it was grey, it was dull, and it was kind of intimidating.
